About the event
Forest Therapy (sometimes known as Forest Bathing or Shinrin-Yoku) broadly means taking in the forest atmosphere with all of one's senses. Not simply a walk in the woods; it is the conscious and contemplative practice of being immersed in the sights, sounds, and smells of the forest. During your walk, Aimee Vandemark will guide you through invitations to awaken your senses, slow down, be present, and reconnect with the nature and rhythm of your surroundings. The connection we have with nature can provide comfort after the loss of a cherished animal friend, especially if our time with them was frequently spent outdoors. Being with nature acts as a way to remember our ongoing connection.
